1966: Pot or LSD? Revolver!

The year began with the news that the Rolling Stones signed a five-year deal with Decca worth 1 miljon pund!
The American radio banned Bob Dylan's "Rainy Day Women No's 12 & 35" and The Byrds "Eight Miles High" for the songs "drug content". Dylan also released his double album "Blonde On Blonde".
The 23 year old Pop Genius, Brian Wilson(Beach Boys) released the album Pet Sounds and the single "Good Vibrations"..reviewed by Melody Maker:"...instrumentally the track is quite brilliant, no symphony was ever scored with more inspiration or patience." The Beach Boys made a sell-out tour to Britan in the fall of the year.
